The School of International Education Launches A Series of Entrance Education Activities for 2020 New International Students

  In order to help the 2020 new international students adapt to the study and life in YCPC as soon as possible, strengthen daily management, and enhance safety awareness, the School of International Education has launched a series of international student enrollment education activities. Freshmen who were unable to come to college due to the pandemic received online education.

  On November 6, Mao Lei, the deputy dean of the School of International Education, introduced relevant school disciplines and regulations on learning, dormitory and campus management during the epidemic, and rewards and punishments. He hoped that students cherish learning opportunities and actively participate in various activities, improve Chinese proficiency and overall quality. Police officers Wang Huiliang and Wang Yuanyuan of the Exit-Entry Administration Division of the Yancheng Public Security Bureau gave a report entitled The Law Related to Foreign Students. They introduced relevant entry-exit management regulations from the aspects of accommodation registration, visa processing, and code of conduct, and answered problems like lost passports, visa expiration, illegal employment, emergency help and other specific issues in detail.

  On November 11, police officers Liu Yu and Shan Zhiping from Xindu Police Station of Yannan High-tech Zone of Yancheng Public Security Bureau gave a lecture on campus safety, personal safety, property safety and traffic safety for international students, and hoped students would understand and cooperate with the college management measures during the epidemic prevention and control period, and jointly create a safe and stable campus environment. Chen Qi, director of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Chief Physician of Yancheng No.1 People’s Hospital, gave a lecture entitled Prevention and Control of Key Infectious Diseases in Colleges for international students, focusing on infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, AIDS, norovirus infectious diarrhea and influenza. He hopes that everyone would master the prevention and control measures against infectious diseases. In addition, the college’s security department also arranged fire-fighting drills for international students on campus.
