On August 6, the Award Ceremony and Video Conference for the Join Hands Fighting the Epidemic·Jiangsu Love jointly organized by the Jiangsu People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Xinhua Newspaper Media Group was held in Nanjing. This short video contest is one of the activities launched by the Jiangsu People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. It aims to publicize Jiangsu's anti-epidemic story, truly convey China's voice, and increase Jiangsu's international influence. The organizing committee of the competition received a total of 133 works from 377 foreign friends from 63 countries who are studying and living in Jiangsu to participate in the shooting. The short video work Global Heart to Heart submitted by Miras, a Kazakh student from our school Hand in Hand to Fight the Epidemic won the Excellence Award in the final evaluation.
Miras is a 2017 international student majoring in logistics management at our school. He has won the 2019 Jiangsu Government Scholarship for Studying in Jiangsu and the school's first-class academic scholarship. After the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, he actively assisted teachers in carrying out epidemic prevention propaganda, distributing epidemic prevention materials and monitoring body temperature to more than 200 international students who stayed at the school during the winter vacation. From the perspective of international students, the short video shows that they are fighting the new crown pneumonia epidemic together with school, teachers and classmates from the three dimensions of “jointly fighting the epidemic”, “online learning” and “missing back to YCPC”.
