From December 7th to 9th, 2018 Textile & Fashion Education World Conference was held at Donghua University. Mr. Shao Congqing, college party committee secretary, Mr. Zhang Ronghua, the vice president of the China Textile and Fashion Education Association and former party committee secretary of the college, attended the conference. 385 experts and scholars in the field of textile and fashion education from 127 universities and industry associations in 26 countries gathered together to conduct discussions on textile and fashion personnel training, teaching reform and internationalization of education.
This conference is the first textile & fashion education world conference. It is an international conference held held against the background of the current economic development entering a new normal and the transformation and upgrading of the textile and fashion industry entering a critical stage. It aims to discuss and establish a win-win cooperative relationship to better meet the development needs of the textile industry from the region to the world.
Shao Congqing said that the accelerated transformation and upgrading of the global textile industry has brought new challenges to the training of textile and apparel talents. The college will pay more attention to open development, strengthen international exchanges, align strategic needs and build a consensus for cooperation. It is necessary to actively integrate the textile and fashion majors with new materials, artificial intelligence, and smart service fields, accelerate the pace of professional transformation, and strive to innovate, and strive to promote the integration of our college’s textile and fashion major construction into the general trend and achieve new development.
