On December 6, the Jiangsu Higher Education Association's Committee for the Management of International Student Education announced the results of the 2024 evaluation for excellence in international student education. The school was honored with the 'Outstanding Contribution Award for International Student Education in Jiangsu Higher Education Institutions.'
The school has always adhered to serving the nation's diplomatic strategies as its mission, diligently implementing the spirit of the provincial education and foreign affairs conference. Centered on the goal of building a Jiangsu Province Model of High-Level Vocational Colleges with Chinese Characteristics, the school actively responds to the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative and international industrial capacity cooperation. Leveraging its educational strengths, it optimizes resource allocation, embraces innovation-driven development, advances reform, and focuses on connotative development. Guided by industrial and educational planning, with industry-education integration as the main thread, the school enhances its capacity to serve going global enterprises. It steadily promotes international student education, fosters cultural and educational exchanges between China and other countries, diversifies talent cultivation pathways, and cultivates a harmonious campus culture. The school strives to become a domestic leader and internationally influential hub for training high-skilled technical talents. In recent years, the school has enrolled over 1,100 international students from eight countries, including Russia, the five Central Asian nations, and Vietnam. It has earned multiple accolades, including being named among the Top 50 Vocational Colleges in China for International Influence, Top 50 for Student Development, China-ASEAN Vocational Education Excellence Partners, and Top 50 Chinese Vocational Colleges for Global Competitiveness. The influence of its He-Mei brand for international student education continues to grow.
In 2024, the school actively responded to the national call to improve the quality of international student education, successfully passing the quality certification for international higher vocational education in China (valid for six years). It hosted the Reading Jiangsu thematic event for international students, featuring the Reading Yancheng: Experiencing Green and Ecological Culture program. Additionally, through activities such as the Green Ecology Culture Lecture and Jiangsu Stories Sharing Session, the school enriched the cultural experiences of international students.
