Dorm Electrical Safety

Date:2021-05-06

   1. Look for the UL Mark on any electrical product you use.  The UL Mark tells you that your appliance, cord, or device has met Underwriter’s Laboratories rigorous safety requirements.

   2. Do not plumb the wires privately and overload extension cords, power strips or outlets. Watch out for outlets that get too hot to touch. If an electrical outlet becomes so hot, there is potential for a fire, please unplug everything from the outlet.

  3. When you leave the dormitory, please turn off the air conditioner and other electrical appliances. Develop a good habit of electricity saving.

   4. If you have a safety hazard, please notify dorm administrator immediately. In case of fire, please call 119.

   5. If you do not obey the dorm electricity safety regulations, causing serious consequences, you should bear the relevant responsibilities.

   6. It is strictly forbidden to put electric vehicles and plumb the wires privately in dormitory rooms or corridors for charging. Do not use modified electric vehicles with safety hazards.
