1. Freshmen Admission Procedures
1 Arrive at school
Before students come to YCPC, you must inform the teachers of your arrive time and flight information in advance, so that we can be well prepared for the reception of new students. After entering the country, students arrive in Yancheng by plane, train, car and other means of transportation in the city of entry, and then take a taxi to our designated registration site.
2 Dormitory
Students should register with passports, Yancheng Polytechnic College Admission Notice, and Visa Application Form for Studying in China (JW202 Form). After paying the relevant fees, students can receive the keys, all-in-one card, air conditioner remote control and daily necessities, and have dormitory accommodation.
3 Temporary Accommodation Registration
Within 24 hours of entering the country, students must promptly inform the teacher of your entry information (including entry time, entry city, transportation means and time, etc.), the teacher help you register the information into the personnel management system in China, and apply for the Registration of Temporary Residence.
4 Insurance purchase
After the students enter the college and pay the fees, we will purchase medical insurance and accident insurance for you.
5 Hospital Physical Examination
According to the appointment time with the Yancheng Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, students will be organized for physical examinations in batches. Students need to bring two 2-inch photos and original passports. Students who pass the examination can obtain the Verification Certificate of Physical Examination Record of Overseas Personnel and Health Examination Certificate.
6 Visa
It takes about two weeks to complete a residence permit at the Exit-Entry Administration Detachment of Yancheng Public Security Bureau. After the teacher helps to make an appointment, the students went to apply in batches. The materials that need to be prepared include: (1) 1 copy of Foreigner Visa Application Form, 1 recent color photo of 2 inches white background (can be photographed on site); (2) temporary residence registration form; (3) original and photocopy of passport; (4) college official letter with the period of study; (5) original and photocopy of the admission notice; (6) copy of the business license of the learning institution and organization code; (7) original and photocopy of the health certificate; (8) original and photocopy of JW202 form.
7 Entrance Education
Two weeks before the new term, we arranges a series of enrollment education for new international students. (1) Staff of the School of International Education introduces the basic situation and characteristics of YCPC, as well as the work arrangements at the early stage of enrollment, explains our learning and dormitory management systems and related terms. (2) Invite doctors of the college health clinic and off-campus medical and health experts to give lectures on key infectious disease prevention and control knowledge. (3) Invite police officers from the Exit-Entry Administration Division of Yancheng Public Security Bureau to give lectures on safety in China and knowledge of entry-exit and other topics. (4) Invite police officers from the police station to give lectures on campus safety and legal system with personal safety, property safety and traffic safety. (5) Our security office conducts fire safety education and drills. (6) Other content activities related to the study and life of international students.
2. Behavior Norm and Safety Attentions
(1) Students should abide by Chinese laws and regulations, respect Chinese social ethics and customs, comply with the college's management requirements, obey the teacher's management, attend classes on time, and do not miss classes.
(2) Students should participate in various college activities and have a sense of collective honor.
(3) Stuents should obey the rule of asking for leave. If you want to leave Yancheng, you must inform the class teacher and go through the leave formalities; if you leave Yancheng without asking for leave, all safety issues that occur will be borne by yourselves.
(4) Students should comply with the college timetable. Do not leave the dormitory after 10 o'clock in the evening, and cooperate with the on-duty teacher's dormitory inspection work. If you go out privately, you will be responsible for any safety issues that occur.
(5) Students should comply with the dormitory management regulations. Do not return late, not stay out, and not accommodate others; it is forbidden to climb dormitory doors and windows; students can use high-power electrical appliances without violation of regulations. If you use low-quality electric kettles, rice cookers, induction cookers and other high-power appliances in the dormitory to boil hot water, cook, etc., causing safety accidents such as fires, explosions, etc., students should bear all the losses and responsibilities for damage to public facilities and property losses of other students; if casualties are caused, students shall also bear corresponding criminal liabilities.
(6) Do not drink alcohol on campus, and do not drink excessive alcohol in China. If there is a traffic accident or life safety problems after drinking, the compensation and medical expenses shall be borne by the student.
(7) Do not conduct missions and religious gatherings on campus, do not organize or participate in illegal gatherings and other activities; do not organize or participate in activities without security.
(8) Students should observe Chinese traffic rules and pay attention to traffic safety when going out. When traveling, students should take student ID and the copy of passport, cross the road on the right side and drive electric power vehicle, bicycles on the prescribed roads. If driving in violation of the rules, too fast, or after drinking alcohol, causing traffic accident or damage to life safety, the student should bear the compensation and medical expenses by the individual.
(9) If you feel unwell, you can go to the college health clinic; if you need hospitalization, you can inform the teacher of the International Students School to start the insurance procedure.
(10) In case of accidents, students should report to the International Students Office in time. If necessary, students can call the emergency number (medical emergency: 120, police: 110, fire alarm: 119, traffic accident: 122).
