On March 25, YCPC held a symposium for international students in the first conference room of the Graphic Information Center. Vice President Sun Weifang, representatives of the international students class teacher, and all members of the International Education College attended the symposium. The meeting was presided over by Wu Jianguo, the Deputy Dean of the International Education School.
Wu introduced the arrangement of recent activities for international students, sorted out related issues in management, and put forward requirements for strengthening the management of the study and life of international students during the epidemic.
Based on the actual situation of the class and the problems encountered in the management, the class teacher enthusiastically made suggestions on the management of international students, the development of online courses, the tracking of students who have not returned to college, and discussions and exchanges on control measures and other aspects.
Sun emphasized the importance of the head teacher in the management of international students, and thanked all the head teachers for their strong support and hard work for international students. She put forward three requirements for the management of international students: first, we must improve the political position, and recognize the importance of developing international student education from the perspective of serving the country’s “Belt and Road” initiative and the development of YCPC; second, the management of international students has certain particularities. It is necessary to pay attention to key students, prevent accidents and emergencies, and make real-time account records; third, it is necessary to improve service management, combine the actual work, do specific work in detail and continuously innovate work ideas and improve the management and service level of international students.
