On the afternoon of March 5th, Xia Weiyi, Foreign Affairs Police Officer of the Exit-Entry Management Brigade of Yannan High-tech Zone, Yancheng Public Security Bureau, came to our college to investigate the management of international students. Kong Kai, Mao Lei, deputy deans of the School of International Education, and some representatives of international students attended the forum.
Kong introduced the process of online courses for international students and training international students in China through cooperation with foreign universities and going out enterprises. Mao gave an introduction on the international students’ enrollment, their management, their employment, and the prevention and control measures of the epidemic in the new semester.
Police Officer Xia affirmed the education and management of international students in YCPC, recognized our strict and humane epidemic prevention and control measures, and had discussions and exchanges with the representatives of our international students from five countries, which involved in their study and life situation, their plans after graduation, checking their passport and visa information, and answering questions about visa processing. Xia hopes that we can well manage our educational work of the international students, pay attention to the psychological counseling, and enrich the students’ learning and life by organizing various learning and cultural activities.
Our education and management of international students has received strong support from the Exit-Entry Management Brigade of Yannan High-tech Zone, Yancheng City Public Security Bureau. The two sides have maintained close cooperation, strengthened information sharing, and continuously improved the management and service levels of international students.
