In order to enrich the campus life of international students, the School of International Education, with the strong support of the Federation of School Student Association, organized international students to participate in a series of club experience activities.
From November 20th to December 18th, under the guidance of the Calligraphy and Painting Club, the international students experienced a calligraphy activity. The members of the Calligraphy and Painting Club explained the structure of Chinese characters, brush pen holding postures, and demonstrated the correct calligraphy writing skills .
On December 5th, international students participated in a dessert making activity organized by the Baking Club. The head of the club explained the production process and key points of different types of desserts. While searching for tutorials on the Internet, the international students discussed and produced sweet cupcakes and crispy almond cakes.
From December 1st to 10th, the members of the Badminton Club conducted a number of technical counseling sessions for the international students who were preparing for the college badminton competition. The head of the club led the members to the college indoor badminton court on time every afternoon and exchanged with the international students on rules and skills. The international students showed great enthusiasm and spirit of unity and cooperation. International students and students from the badminton club have gained sincere cross-border friendship through this activity.
On December 15, international students were invited to participate in the traditional cultural experience activity, Making Dumplings to Welcome the Winter Solstice and Feeling the Taste of China, organized by the Fitness Club. The club members introduced the origin of the winter solstice and the meaning of the traditional custom of eating dumplings in the winter solstice, and then everyone was very busy stirring and kneading. Vice-President Sun Weifang also demonstrated the skill of making dumplings for overseas students. When the international students tasted their own dumplings, their happiness was beyond words.
